Oh, how I have been in error!!!
.
Several months ago I was given three blogger awards by three phenomenal bloggers, and in the midst of everything going on in my life, I completely forgot to not only acknowledge these wonderful awards, but to also pass them on to other great bloggers! It would be an easy thing for me to chalk it up to me being a newbie, but that’s no excuse—I dropped the ball, and it’s time that I pick it up and make the shot!
So here it goes!
.
.
.
The 1st award that I received was the Versatile Blogger award from the lovely Kesha Brown. It is bestowed on those who offer diversity in their writing talent to the blogsphere. I am so appreciative of this award because it was given to me at the very beginnings of my journey in blogging, and gave me the confidence to keep going. For that, I will forever be grateful!
.
.
.
The second acknowledgement that I received was from the creative and charming KeinyaL. It is the Tell Me About Yourself award, and is given to bloggers who are enjoyed and followed. I can some this lady up in one word: amazing! Thank you so much for the award!
.
.
.
The third (but not least
) recognition that I received was from the oh-so-awesome Deone Higgs. The Sunshine award is given to those who share inspiration and positivity in the blogsphere. I am very thankful for this award and honored to be recognized for my efforts!
According to the rules of each of these awards, I must pass them along to other bloggers who I would like to recognized for their versatility, enjoyment, and inspiration. Those recipients (should they choose to accept the award) must also follow the same rules. Since the amount of others recognized varies for each award, I am choosing 15 well-deserving bloggers to give all three awards to! Each of these bloggers have inspired me and touched my life in a very special way. They are beyond awesome and I admire and appreciate them greatly!
Here they are:
.
Next, according to the rules of two of the awards, I must also:
.

7 Random Things About Me:
I love to cook
Classic movies and action movies are my favorites
I love and listen to music of all genres, but my favorites are classic soul and jazz
My 4 children are two-and-two: 2 boys; 2 girls
In August, the age ranges of my children will be: college, high school, elementary school and kindergarten.
I adore both dogs and cats, but I could only ever own a cat (dogs are too much maintenance! LOL)
When I was a child, I wanted to be a pediatrician. I’m so glad I changed my mind—It breaks my heart to see children sick–especially babies.
.
I hope that you enjoyed this post—and please be sure to check out each of the blogger’s sites mentioned above. They are truly wonderful people, and I feel blessed and fortunate to have connected with each of them. Stop by and show them some love, and tell them MELISASource sent you!

Releasing Me Today

[...] last month, my dear friend Makeba Dunlap-Giles of MelisaSource nominated me for the Tell Me About Yourself award. I’m finally tackling it [...]
LOL Well you’ve been awarded with the Versatile Blogger Award again from me! You always have different but motivational blog posts. Plus, let’s keep it real, you’ve been a faithful commentor of my blog!
Greetings: Thank you so very much for the award!! I truly appreciate it! ~and many thanks for your kind words–I am simply trying my best as I learn and go along
~if my founding principles are felt with readers, then I’ve done what I’ve set out to do, which is what keeps me going! I love the uniqueness of your blog as well–always something new and interesting that keeps me smiling! You are definitely very deserving of this award many times over! ~Thank you so much for commenting!
Thank you for including you in your gift giving.
I also wanted to be a pediatrician growing up but by the time I got to college, I changed my mind. The classes were ok but when I had to do the lab work, it gross me out.
Greetings: You are most welcome–and thank you so much for commenting!
I can completely understand how you felt about the lab work–I had similar feelings as well, and even more so when I thought about it being done with children on a daily basis. I know for a fact that I would not have been able to cope with that emotionally. Even now whenever my own children are sick or have to get simple lab work done, It’s difficult for me to sit through it.
I hated needles as a child so I don’t know when and where I decided that I want to be a doctor knowing I might have to give other kids their shots too. But I am glad that I tried it so I could figure out that it wasn’t for me.
Well congrats on those awards!!! That is why I was just coming to check out your latest post..and saw my blog..!! thank you. You DO provide a sense of encouragement and optimism!
Greetings: You are most welcome and your blog is very deserving of all three awards indeed!! I absolutely love it!! ~Thank you so very much for your kind words and I appreciate you commenting!
Good day… well, Good evening, Makeba!
Three awards?!! YOU GO GIRL!!
Congratulations, my friend!
You are definitely most deserving of all three! I loved learning more about you too. I would’ve never guessed a Koala Bear. It’s cool! But I just would’ve never guessed that one.
So, what’s your favorite dish to cook? I bet you can burn in the kitchen too. You’d probably have to kick me away from the table.
A college student? Wow! Another thing, I would’ve never guessed.
I knew or saw the senior picture of your daughter… Is she the one that’s now in college? I know you must be so proud.
I’m not much of a dog or cat person. We have a miniature schnauzer name Chase… and you’re right! They are too much maintenance. I really hate it when I’m in the middle of writing and I have to stop to let that joker go outside and potty. And mind you, that it’s like thirty something degrees here in Atlanta at the moment. I know it’s not St.Louis cold… but for Georgia, that’s cold. Too cold to be standing outside without purpose for doing so. And this joker is NEEDY… but I digress.
All in all I loved the post, my friend. And I thank you so very much for sharing the rewards with The Release! So Awesome of you!
I’ve used the first one, and of course the third…. so I guess I’ll take the second and do it some justice.
Thanks again, my friend It’s always a pleasure. Oh, and love, love, loved the quote of the day! That was awesome!
Greetings: Thank you so much!! I enjoyed doing this post as well. Yes I have loved koala bears forever–they are my all-time favorite animal! And yes the one in the senior picture is my oldest-she’ll be heading off to college in August (tears). With all that I have know and seen about dogs, I could never ever own one-and yes it gets cold here so just seeing others out having to walk their dogs in the cold…..I just could not do it!! LOL
Thank you again for sharing the award with me!!! Now you hold ‘several’ awards in each category!! ~So very appreciative of you and your support always!!
Awww! Thank you so much! I feel special! ((hugs))
Greetings: You are most welcome–You know that you are very special and much appreciated!!
