Life. Without a doubt, it can truly be a whirlwind. We find ourselves hustling and bustling about, worrying and fretting over what seems to be a hundred things at a time—all of the time. The sun rises each day and it seems like before we know it, the sun has set again. Time is flying past us and we are breaking our necks trying to keep up.
Is this really what it boils down to? Is this really all it is about?
So often we get caught up in the daily routine and bombarded with stress that we fail to realize all that we are missing. We sleep on life—thinking that we have all the time in the world to do the things that we have been dreaming of; when the truth is that no set amount of time here on earth was ever guaranteed to any of us. If we continue to go and go and never take our chance for fulfillment, we may never get the chance for it. If we really want to experience all that the world has to offer, we must cease from being weighed down by the hold of our careers, families, and schedules and step out to take full ownership of our existence.
Alternative artist Jason Mraz demonstrates this subject with perfection in his song and video, “Make it Mine”. Smoother than silk, he delivers a message of becoming more aware of how you spend each moment and doing whatever that is needed to ensure a life lived to the fullest–whether it’s taking a chance on something big or simply taking time to steal away to relax. He shares the reminder that life only goes around once, and we cannot afford to wait—we owe it to ourselves to enjoy every second, minute, and hour of each day while we can.
Now is the time to take total claim of your life. Own it, show it, and no longer hold back from getting the very best out of every moment.

I loved the message behind this post. Not only that, but I’m also a huge fan of Jason Mraz as well. So although I was going to venture over to check out the most recent post; I just had to stop by here first to tell you how much I enjoyed this post, first.
There’s no better time than right now, for us to get out there and enjoy what the world has for us. I have this saying I’ve come up with, written on a little sticky note to remind me of just that fact. It reads, “Don’t wait for anything or anyone to give you permission to enjoy life. Enjoy it NOW! Later never comes. Later, when it finally arrives is right this moment.”
Thanks for the powerful message, my friend.

Greetings: I love the reminder that you wrote for yourself — that’s an awesome quote! (I may have to share that one! )
But yes indeed: it’s funny how we say all of the things that we want to do, but then subconsciously await permission to do them. The mind can be a very tricky thing sometimes!! We need those type of reminders like this song and your sticky note to constantly remind us that we don’t need to wait–the only thing we need is to do.
I’m so glad that you enjoyed the song and the post! Thank you for your kind words and I appreciate you commenting!

Wow your post always come at the right time! I was just feeling stressed and a bit sad about how fast everything is going and about all of the things that are going on in my life right now as it’s going through these changes. This song reminded me to slow down, take a look around and take time to enjoy my life right now as it is. Thank you!
Greetings: It is so very important to slow down once in awhile and take time to enjoy your life and everything around you. This song and video are both great reminders of that. ~Thank you so much for commenting!
