News Notes: Steve Covey Passes: His Words Inspired Many to Aim For Success [VIDEO]

Steve Covey, Author of the best-selling book, “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People”, passed away today. He was 79 years old.

 

 

Not only known for this successful book that has sold over 15 million copies worldwide and others, he was also highly respected for his approach on life and its varied problems. He was a believer that anyone—no matter the condition or situation—could be successful in every area of their lives.

I remember reading “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People“ for the first time a few years ago after it was suggested to me by a family friend. At the time, I was experiencing a major crossroads in my professional life, and was in serious need of some direction. The principles in this book gave me that direction and much more. I plan to give the book as a gift to my daughter as she goes off to college and embarks on the journey of her chosen career.

 

I am a firm believer that the legacy Steve Covey has left behind will surely go on for generations to come. His words have inspired so many to aim for success, and will continue to do so.
