2012 10 20 14 51 15 176 457x500 2 Recap: Show Me The Blog Conference 2012: Learning Growing and Connecting One Year LaterOver the weekend, I attended the Show Me the Blog Social Media and Blogging Conference held in St. Louis. The fact that this is my second Show Me the Blog Conference is a huge accomplishment for me, as at the time of last year’s conference I had only been blogging for only one(yes one) month! Everything was so new and overwhelming to me, I was not sure if I was going to make it through the conference at all! icon biggrin Recap: Show Me The Blog Conference 2012: Learning Growing and Connecting One Year Later

In fact, I was SO panicked that I wrote a post about it  -  >>check it out here<<

Anyways, icon smile Recap: Show Me The Blog Conference 2012: Learning Growing and Connecting One Year Later this year’s Show Me the Blog conference was held at the Regional Arts Commission. Topics such as Freelancing for Sites and publications, Social Media Measurement, Podcasting and more were covered during the course of two days by a host of top-notch presenters:

In addition to having a better understanding of the covered topics, a year later I also realize that although doing anything for the first time can be extremely nerve-wrecking, it does indeed get better. I noticed right away that, unlike last year when I was too afraid to even get out of my seat both days, this year I was not only more comfortable, but I was also more confident and outgoing. The shift resulted in many great connections (and re-connections) with some very wonderful people!

Something else that made this year’s conference better for me was that I remembered the missteps I made while attending last year, and took measures to avoid a repeat performance! icon biggrin Recap: Show Me The Blog Conference 2012: Learning Growing and Connecting One Year Later

I wrote a post about that too last year, and you can find out some things to avoid when attending conferences  -  >>read the post here<<

The Show Me the Blog conference was absolutely great! I must give a huge shout-out of congratulations to the Founder and Coordinator, Danyelle Little, for an amazing job! I learned a wealth of information that I definitely plan to put into use with my blog.
