Verizon Black History Month Campaign Features Jill Scott, Robert Townsend [VIDEO]

R&B singer Jill Scott and movie producer Robert Townsend have partnered with Verizon for a new campaign to coincide with Black History Month. The campaign consists of print, radio, online, and television advertisements and will run throughout the month of February.

The “Celebrating Your Story,” campaign features artists from the areas of business, lifestyle, sports, music, and film. The “Innovators and Pioneers” share stories of their own career empowerment and ways that Verizon technology has made a difference in their lives.

In Jill’s video segment, she delivers an uplifting message about appreciating your life:

“You can make a life for yourself outside of what people may think is the route….but you have to find that for yourself. You have to be interested, and you have to appreciate your life. You only get one, and it can really be amazing…there is nothing to stop you but you.”
