MELISASource.com was launched in September 2011 by Saint Louis native and resident Makeba Giles to create an online community that features articles of motivation and empowerment inspired by culture, current events, and real life. The primary goal is to showcase the ‘good’ that is happening in the world, and even ways to cope with the not-so-good. The mission is to provide positive and thought-provoking commentary while encouraging healthy conversation, self-reflection, and life action. At MELISASource.com, the focus is topics of culture/entertainment, motherhood, parenting, life issues, relationships, self-awareness, and more.

In essence, we cover everything from Hollywood to Motherhood…..the positive way!

Makeba Giles (MELISASource) is a married mother of 4 very busy children ranging in age from college student to kindergarten and is a WAHM (Work At Home Mom). She is a writer at heart with a sincere love for life and all things inspirational. A self-proclaimed “down-home girl” who does pretty much everything in heels, she is (as she calls herself) “A little bit of Country, and a little bit of Rock-n-Roll”. A woman of many hats, she is oftentimes forced to be a true Jack of All Trades; and she does her very best to master them all (or at the very least be somewhat good at them).
